GWENN GLOTNIS

(On Facebook)

I started getting tattooed in 1972 after collecting 10 or 12 tattoos and going to art school, I decided to learn more about tattooing.

Finally, after dillegently looking for someone to apprentice with, I packed my bags and went to Los Angeles, Ca. to apprentice with Greg James of Sunset Strip. After that, I worked a couple days a week with Jack and Donna D'Amore of "Art with a Pulse" as their shop girl in Colorado, and the rest is pretty much history!

Adam and I opened Accent in Colorado in 1995 and moved to Mendocino County in 2000. We opened Accent II in Willits in 2009.

I pride myself with "old school" tradition in my work and the way we run Accent. I continue to explore different mediums in art like painting, sculpture and more and take classes when I can at conferences to better myself in tattoo technique and new innovations.

JOE DRACHE

(On Facebook)

Ever since I was a small child, I’ve been an artist. All through school, I was that kid in class who was drawing instead of taking notes. Even back then I was drawing skulls, and monsters, naked women and grim reapers. Little did I know I was practicing for a career as a tattooist. At the young age of 17, I did my first tattoo.

From that humble beginning as an amateur tattooist, I worked my way into an apprenticeship in Virginia, and was taught the fine-line black and grey techniques that I am still perfecting to this day. I still specialize in those dark and scary images of my childhood, but I also enjoy doing life-like flowers, wildlife and portraits.

I have tattooed around the world and have won trophies at international tattoo conventions.

Now, I’m settled in Ukiah, and I love it here. Come see me any time at Accent Tattoo.

BOTTORFF
(On Facebook)

I took an interest in body piercing early when my friends and I started experimenting with putting permanent holes in each other’s ears in high school. Little did I know that a pass-time could become a career.

I attended the world renowned Fakir Body Piercing Intensive in 2005 and apprenticed under Accent Tattoo co-owner Adam Glotnis immediately afterwards. I attend the annual Association of Professional Piercers (APP) conference to further advance my education and keep up on new techniques and concerns in the industry. I perform all types of piercings including (but not limited to) surface anchors, surface piercings, ear projects, male and female genitals, and all of the more known body piercings. I am always patient and knowledgeable, so call or come by to schedule your next piercing!
